I am passionate about doing the right thing – and one reason I like being a technical author is that the manuals I compile help people to do things the right way in their work.

I talk to everybody and love to make them laugh – people behind tills or petrol pumps or in queues.

I volunteer several times a month for Lifeline because the programme enables people in trouble to take back control of their lives.

I love helicopters, aeroplanes, model tanks and trains, and wildlife, and I love photographing and video-ing them.
